What is the ideation and design process like at Boon Huat Interior Design?

Design projects often require a high level of attention to detail and different elements that bring whole home altogether. Designers may have different approaches and processes, so it is important for you to understand that the designer you are working with.

Initially we will schedule a meeting with you to discuss your project and learn more about how you want to live in your house and timeline. We will request some house photos and review the design process, provide some initial thoughts, and answer your questions. Normally the consultation takes about one to two hours.

Subsequently, if you choose to proceed with a design service, we will prepare a contract with the scope of work and payment terms. After signing contract, we start develop a furniture layout plan. Once we agree on the furniture plan and create the design plan incorporating your style preferences. We will commence to source for all furniture, curtains, lighting, etc.,

We will schedule a meeting with you in your home to present the design plan along with price quotes and applicable samples that will give you a good visual and feel of fabrics for upholstery, curtains, paint colours, flooring finishes, etc.

After the design presentation and final selections are approved, we will start execution and arrangement for the agreed items from there!
